Course Description

The aim of this course is to help students acquire basic knowledge and skills for practicing moral education as a teacher. There are three contents in the course as follows:
(1) Discuss the significance and theory of moral education. (2nd–6th)
(2) Learn about the goals, contents, and evaluation of moral education by mainly organizing the matters of "Course of Study". (7th, 8th)
(3) Inquiry methods of moral education by planning a lesson and conducting its trial. (9th–14th)

Course Objectives

The goals of this course are to
(1) Understand and explain the significance and theory of moral education.
(2) Make and trial their original lesson plan, based on their understanding about basic theory, contents, and methods of moral education.

Grading Policy

Your overall grade will be decided based on the following:
- One Page Portfolios: 10%
- lesson plans: 30%
- Trial lesson: 20%
- Term-end examination: 30%
- Group activity and presentation: 10%
