Course Description

- Students taking this course will acquire basic knowledge, concepts, and skills that are essential in becoming a social studies teacher in a rapidly changing society.
- Students are required to develop lesson plans that include active learning and learning material development based on the learners' interests.
-Based on "Method of Geography and History Education I", students will develop their class design and practical teaching skills through discussions on teaching plans and teaching demonstrations. Students will acquire skills for formulating lesson plans by themselves.
-The course will be conducted in an active learning style, based on the participation of students in teaching plan study meetings, teaching demonstrations and discussions.
-This course is related to Diploma Policies 2 and 3.

Course Objectives

- Students acquire the knowledge, concepts and skills necessary to become a social studies teacher. (Knowledge, understanding, skills)
- Students learn to develop teaching materials that take into consideration the learners' interests and intellectual curiosity, and acquire the ability to write up a teaching plan by themselves (skills)
- Students acquire the skills for composing classes and practical teaching necessary for teachers to conduct geography and history classes. (Knowledge, understanding, skills)

-Teaching demonstration 50%
* Feedback on the learning process will be given during the final class
