Course Description

Students are allocated to designated laboratories, and the study is conducted individually or in a group. Experiments, analyses, and/or investigations under the supervision of academic staff of the laboratory are carried out. Students join laboratory research meetings in order to deepen their understanding in the specific area and exchange opinions about their research results. In the end, each student puts together the results to his/her graduation thesis and gives an oral presentation in the department meeting.
This course deals with the all of the diploma policy of the department: from DP1 to DP6.

Course Objectives

The objective of this course is to acquire the preparation for engineer and researcher. Students will make research plans, review literatures, conduct experiments, analyses and/or investigations and examine the results. With the guidance by supervisor(s), the research in the specific area will be carried out for one year.

Grading Policy

The supervisor of each laboratory decide your overall grade based on followings:
-  Activities for the graduation study (50%)
-  Achievement of the study (50%)
In addition to seminars, meetings, guidance on graduation thesis writing, presentation instruction, etc. at each laboratory, feedback through question and answer at the presentation of the study will be provided.

Contents and sufficient time for the study will be instructed by the supervisor .

Note

"Graduation Study" is a subject conduct at the end of the year. Therefore, please keep in mind that you need to retake classes in the following year in case of failure.

Schedule

1Under the supervision in each laboratory, research planning, literature survey, experiment and/or analysis will be carried out. Afterwards, the results of the study are examined, and summarized into graduation thesis.
Concrete contents of the study are explained by each supervisor in the laboratory.
