The aim of this course is to help students acquire the foundation for understanding education. It starts from thinking about what the education is, and consider the essences and aims of education. It also deals with elements of education: school, child, family, and teacher. Based on these, to form a foundation of basic attitude of teaching, students are required to inquire about their own ideal view of education.
The goals of this course are to
(1) Explain essence and purpose of education.
(2) Create a concept map of education by understanding about Interrelation of concepts and elements of education.
(3) Based on understanding about educational thought of child, family, school, and society, logically describe the ideal education (about 30 minutes).
Your overall grade will be decided based on the following:

- Reports: 20%
- Term-end examination: 20%
