Course Description

The objective of this lecture is to learn about the so-called “Jiba Industry”, which means localized industry toward wider markets in Japan. A locale with “Jiba Industry” resembles the so-called “Marshallian industrial district”, e.g in Italy.

Course Objectives

Students should understand various “Jiba Industries” in Japan and their development and actual conditions under the globalization.
