Course Description

This course is designed to achieve Learning Goals 1, 2, and 3 of the General Basic Subjects,
In this course students will do four kinds of exercises in the textbook to improve their listening skills. In the first exercises, they will choose the sentence that best describes the photograph. In the second exercises, they will listen to a question and three possible responses, and then they will choose the correct response. In the third exercises, they will listen to a short conversation, and then will be asked three questions about the conversation. In the last exercises, they will listen to a short talk, and then will be asked three questions about the talk.

Course Objectives

The objective of this course is to improve your listening skills. Students will be able to listen to and comprehend a short talk about daily life.

Grading Policy

The term-end examination (90%) and assignments (10%)

Requirements(Assignments)

Before class students should carefully read the auxiliary textbook to understand how to improve listening skills. Students are allowed to listen to the sound repeatedly before trying the exercises. Students should review their assignments after they are returned to them. Repeating after its narrators will be helpful. ( 90 minutes per class)

Note

Students must downloard sound for exercises. They should listen to it again and again before they answer the questions. The assignment A is from Scene 1 to 15, and the assignment B is from Scene 16 to 30. Students are not allowed to submit the assignment B before they pass the assignment A.
