Course Description

In this seminar, we will use the knowledge of local finance as a foundation and discuss together the ideal form of finance that is essential for regional development as a major theme. We will discuss the economic activities of local governments that are close to our daily lives and give them a sense of how to create a livable area and the role of finance. The basics of the exercises are reading the literature, group work, information gathering, data analysis and discussion. Students will share their knowledge through reading, be able to have their own ideas and be able to ask questions. Through seminar camps and presentations, we will have the results of our activities announced.
We may organize exchanges with second-year Song Seminars, training camps, or joint camps with university students from other universities.The issues to be dealt with each year differ, so please refer to the application guidelines when selecting seminars.
In this course, students will study DP1,DP2 and DP3.

Course Objectives

Students will be able to understand how finances work and explain our lives and how familiar they are.
Students will understand the role of local finance and become interested in local issues.
Students can deepen their understanding of taxes, raise public awareness, and share their thoughts on local finance issues.

Grading Policy

Comprehensive evaluation will be made based on the reading of the seminar activities (100%), participation in each discussion, training camp activities, final report presentations, and reports.

Feedback:
The reporter will be given feedback on the reputation of the report.
During summer vacation, we will hold seminar camps and provide feedback on reading content.
Provide personal interviews and feedback as needed.

Requirements(Assignments)

Preparation:About 1.5 hours
Read in advance the contents of the next lesson announced in the class, and write your impressions immediately after reading in the notepad.The person in charge of reading a book should prepare a resume and prepare questions to be considered and questions.

Review:About 1 hour
Make a habit of keeping a record of what you have gained from the seminar activities in a memo pad and using it as a source for the final report.

Note

・ Every attendance is basically required. This is a big penalty, especially if the reading staff is absent.
・ Because it is a seminar format, there are deviations and corrections in the lesson plan depending on the number of people and the progress level.
