Course Description

In this seminar, we will use the knowledge of local finance as a foundation and discuss together the ideal form of finance that is essential for regional development as a major theme. We will discuss the economic activities of local governments that are close to our daily lives and give them a sense of how to create a livable area and the role of finance. The basics of the exercises are reading the literature, group work, information gathering, data analysis and discussion. Students will share their knowledge through reading, be able to have their own ideas and be able to ask questions. Through seminar camps and presentations, we will have the results of our activities announced.As an applied version of "Seminar Ⅲ", we will further deepen each of the issues of interest.
In this course, students will study DP1,DP2 and DP3.

Course Objectives

Rather than simply expressing your thoughts in words and sentences, you will be able to convey it to others easily. We ask students to experience the cycle of “knowing ⇒ understand ⇒ teach” about certain knowledge, and learn from the content is the ability to complete such a cycle, and the greatest goal is to enhance that ability.

Seminar work(50%),Deparment’s seminar debriefing session(50%)

All members will share the report materials for the final report session and provide feedback as appropriate.
From email and face to face talk.

Requirements(Assignments)

Preparation:About 1.5 hours
Researching materials, making resumes, making PPTs, making presentation materials, etc.

Review the key points as needed for the final report session.

Note

・ Attendance is required every time. No unauthorized absence is allowed.
・ Because of the seminar format, there are deviations and corrections in the lesson plan depending on the number of people and the progress level.
・ The final presentation is the "Joint Seminar" of the Department of Regional Economics.
・ When there is not enough evaluation material, we may ask you to submit another assignment.
