Course Description

In this seminar, you will learn through the textbook and research on the regional revitalization leader Ninomiya Takanori in the late Tokugawa period and early Meiji period. Discuss the theme while reading the text, share knowledge, and be able to have your own thoughts on how to view and evaluate it. Through this, you will learn DP1, 2, and 3 of the Diploma Policy. At the same time, we aim to acquire information gathering and presentation skills.

Course Objectives

Students can talk about the origins of Ninomiya Sontoku.
Students can talk about the local revitalization that Ninomiya Sontoku has done in Tochigi Prefecture.
Students can express their opinions on the modern significance of Ninomiya Sontoku.

Grading Policy

Participation in each discussion (60%), report presentation (20%), final report (20%)
