Course Description

Through this seminar, each student participating this seminar is required to work on the following four things. First, each student learn how to study at university. In the process of learning how to study at university, each student is needed to learn how to manage time. Second, each student acquire the habit of using facilities (libraries, computers, etc.) that support intellectual activities such as learning and research. Third, each student improve their ability to do a series of activities required to summarize and express their views. And finally, each student motivate himself to study at university in order to help himself tackle the above three objectives.

Course Objectives

Although it overlaps with what is described in course description, the goal to be achieved in this seminar is summarized in four points. First point is to learn how to study at university including time management methods. Second point is to acquire the habits of using facilities that support intellectual activities. Third point is to improve the ability to express their views and opinions. Finally, fourth point is to reconfirm each students' motives for studying at university.

Grading Policy

Grades for each registrant are decided on the level of two factors. One is efforts to address tasks imposed in this seminar. The other is participation in each session. Evaluation ratio of each factor is planned to be 50%.

Requirements(Assignments)

As the preparation for each session, each student is mainly required to tackle with tasks being aware of the presentation at each session. At each session, those who submit or present the results of tasks will get feedbacks during each session. Therefore, as the review, each student is mainly required to confirm feedbacks provided during each session.
