Course Description

We learn the features of Japanese culture through the idea of cultural time and space. In the Japanese Islands fertile culture has been developed by people in rich diversity of the weather, lands, plants, animals, and humans. We need deep understanding about the cultural time as well as the time based on natural science and modern technologies. We especially focus on the twelve animals of the eastern zodiac (Junishi: 十二支) and start on the journey for the rich world in Japanese culture.
