Course Description

  In this class, we will take simultaneously diverse films, novels and philosophical books that pose new visions in Japan and the world.
  Each lecture is assembled to introduce several kinds of works at the same time. By continuing and accumulating learning to summarize excellent work contents and their own considerations briefly, students acquire the basic attitude of cultural studies to philosophically consider Japanese culture and human culture.
  In the spring semester, we will work on the theme of death and rebirth in a broad sense that people, society, culture, civilization have contradiction, reaching the limit, and then reviving.
