In employment relationships, however, employees potentially face myriad troubles without proper regulations because of their dependency on employers. “Labor & Employment Law” provides regulations in order to remedy any such trouble and to enable workers to live with dignity.
Labor & Employment law in Japan is double-folded: 1) Employment law concerns labor contracts and protection of employees; 2) Labor law regulates the relationship between trade unions and employers. This lecture will focus on employment law and provide elementary knowledge concerning employment problems based on Japanese work environment.
