Course Description

In this course, particular focus is given to multilateral cooperation led by UN system. Major challenges of the world such as international peace and security, poverty and development, refugee, as well as climate change will be taken up as example of such cooperation. The roles played by NGOs, private enterprises and civil society, which become more and more important in the current international community are duly taken on board. Guest speakers from international organizations and NGOs will be invited to share their experiences with the class.
Evaluation is based on attendance record(30%), mid-term report (30%) and term-end exam(40%).
