Course Description

This course is intended for people looking to acquire the basic piano skills required to support children in music activities. Throughout a period of the course, participants learn basic music theory and the knowledge necessary to help them develop their piano skills. The course also provides opportunities for them to master the basics of chord names, and simple accompaniment techniques using chord names.
During the fall term, participants learn the rudiments of accompanying themselves on piano, which is a skill in demand among child-care and child education facilities.
