Course Description

The family order of aristocratic society survived for about 650 years until the end of the modern era after the basic framework was established in the first half of the Middle Ages. It also had a great influence on the family order of the samurai society and the family system of the Meiji era. In this lecture, we will consider the process of establishing the family order of aristocratic society and its historical impact.
