Course Description

This is a compulsory class for first-year students who major in Chinese Language at the Department of Language Studies. Students will learn how to listen, speak, write, and read in basic Chinese by studying the pinyin system, basic grammar, vocabulary, and expressions used in daily life. Understanding Chinese society and culture is crucial in learning the language effectively. For this reason, students will also learn practical Chinese expressions that are related to the topics discussed in the course "Society and Culture in China I."
