Course Description

The instructor of the subject, Politics and the Media II, was a political journalist, worked for a major newspaper as reporter and editorial staff.
The complex relations among politicians, bureaucrats, the interest groups and the media, the influence of the media over politics, the nature of the media in the US and in China, the media as business, and how the the media have changed with the times will be discussed at the class.
The students are expected to perform in an active learning approach.

Notes: The media such as newspapers, magazines, the TV or radio's reporting or the S.N.S. is a tool of news reporting and commentaries and is often called the press. Those who are in charge of reporting news or commenting on news by means of the press are the journalists or the editorial staff. Among them, those who report or comment on politics are the political journalists.
