Course Description

“Mind” is basically the creation of the neural networks in the brain, which is only observable via behaviors. This network is known to be affected by various drugs including those for psychiatric disorders. The area of psychology to examine this network via the drug effects is called behavioral pharmacology. Students will learn the mechanisms how the drugs alter behaviors by reading, summarizing, and presenting the contents of basic literature, thereby learning basic skills and knowledge in this field.
