Course Description

In the Japanese archipelago, oriental zodiac animals have been used for time and direction recognition for more than a thousand years. The traditional space-time system has evolved not as the repetition or multiplication of numbers, but as relationships (including celestial bodies such as the earth, sun, and moon), creatures, and people that change subtly. By studying Japanese myths, stories, folk religions, etc., we will deeply learn the problems hidden in traditional Japan, modern Japan, and modern civilization, with the zodiac animals as guiding beings.
