Course Description

This course aims to familiarise students with the world of poetry in English (Britain, America, Ireland and so forth) and its related art forms such as plays and musicals.Through the close reading of literary texts and musical manuscripts, students will learn fandamentals of literary interpretation and criticism, so that they can deepen their understanding of English literature as well as develop their ability of critical thinking. Grades will be based on regular attendance, participation and the completion of assignments. Those students who have missed one-third of all classes without due justification will receive a grade penalty.
