Course Description

This course will look through major literary theories in English literature, such as impressionist criticism, the New Criticism, psychoanalysis, deconstruction, feminism, queer theory, postcolonialism. The focus of this course will be on how these theories were born and why these are so important and necessary for today's society. Those students who have missed one-third of all classes without due justification will receive a grade penalty.
