Course Description

This course deals with memories of the Asia-Pacific War, especially about the situation of war operations in each region and the issues over "Japanese war dead overseas". The Asia-Pacific War was carried out in periphery areas, where many soldiers died tragically, in order to protect the center of the "Greater Japanese Empire" and most of people in mainland were not informed of its actual situation. The primary aim of this course is to understand the historical background about that.
