Course Description

In this lesson, we will examine the origins of Japanese manga. There are two theories about the origin of manga. One is a theory that makes it a medieval picture scroll, and the other is a theory that starts at the end of the Tokugawa period.While taking up the two theories, we will follow the history of cartoons until the end of WWⅡ.
