Course Description

Today, Budo (Japanese martial ways) as Japanese traditional culture spreads widely in the world. Why are foreign practitioners interested in Budo? Therefore, we consider cultural traits of Budo from viewpoint of crossing culture through taking up various cases for internationalized Budo in this course. Moreover, we improve understanding and think about the body as culture by the practice. The purpose of this course is to consider cultural traits and to suggest current significance of Budo in international society.
