Course Description

In this course, you will read two basic books concerned with the social sciences, such as sociology, politics, and economics, and write a book review for each. As part of this course, you will participate in group work to improve your reading and writing skills. In performing these activities, you will cultivate a capacity to read and write academic texts, a skill that will become a foundation for writing more comprehensive academic reports and papers.
