Course Description

Diplomatic protocol is the internationally accepted code of conduct that is enacted for state guests to help them foster amiable interaction with each other. Hotel personnel in charge of protocol support the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and respective Embassies. In recent years, the observance of protocol has been attracting attention since it is a useful way of stimulating intercultural communications.

By means of lectures, we will learn what protocol is and the role of the hotel's protocol representatives when receiving state guests. As a sub-theme, we will learn arrangements that are made for accommodations, banquets and so forth at international conferences and research data on them, visit hotels where state guests and government representatives are actually staying, in order to seek information for our studies. .
