Course Description

Fieldwork or ethnography, a body of methods for qualitative social research, is an indispensable tool for empirical social investigations. In this course, students are going to develop a comprehensive understanding of the basics of fieldwork by reading through a textbook and some exemplary ethnographic works, as well as by discussing or working on various issues pertinent to it. Participants will become better equipped to empirically explore the diverse social realities around us found in the contemporary world by the end of the course.
