Course Description

　　This course aims to develop understanding the Japanese history of education.
Students will study the historical perspectives through the analysis with some issues related to education in modern Japan; for example, the role of government, teachers training system, textbooks, and children develop.
　　Students will gain skills to read historical sources and relativize their own stereotypes of education.
