This course is an introduction to the history of economic thought. The goal of this course is to familiarize you with how and why the study of economics has changed over time. At the end, hopefully, you will have an idea of the kinds of questions economists ask themselves nowadays, and how they go about answering them; what the discipline of economics is (was) and what it is (was) not. Moreover, you will be exposed to how economists of various varieties did the same in the past and how and why it has changed over time (for better and for worse). The course consists of lectures, readings, discussions, identifying actual conditions through academic achievement surveys, two small test with 25 questions and Term-end Exam Paper Review.
