Course Description

This is a compulsory class for first-year students who major in Chinese Language at the Department of Foreign Languages. While "Society and Culture in China I" focused on Chinese citizens' lifestyle and culture, "Society and Culture in China II" will pick up broader topics such as history, literature, arts, overseas Chinese and ethnic minorities. The course aims to provide basic knowledge on China, enabling students to gain their own views on various aspects of the country.
