Course Description

This class is a prerequisite for the students who will go on to take “Teaching Methods of Social Studies & Civics Ⅱ” in the second semester. The aim of this course is to gain knowledge on social studies in junior high schools including geography, history and civics, and civics education in senior high schools including contemporary sociology, ethics and political economics for a successful completion upon a teaching practicum in the senior year. It is also intended to promote greater understanding of teaching practices.
