Course Description

The first semester is to examine the changes made by the Japanese government when it governed Taiwan from 1895 to 1945, based on the theme of "Colonization and Modernization."
This course aims to recognize the positive and negative aspects of this occupation, and to make clear the actual situation of the Japanese government before World War II, and after the Postwar Period respectively. In addition, it also clarifies how it influenced the entire Asian area.
