Course Description

Cultural heritage is diverse and its value and significance are multifaceted. There is a wide range of research and consideration on how to value such cultural heritage, how to conservation it, and how to pass it on to the next generation. I would like to consider cultural heritage from various angles, such as considering the value and significance of cultural heritage, conserving scientific verification, conserving and restoring and utilizing, or managing cultural heritage.
In this class, the purpose of the training is to acquire research methods for graduation thesis. After selecting a theme related to cultural heritage arbitrarily, the students will study the theme by themselves, write a text on their thoughts, and make a presentation. In addition, all the students will discuss each presentation and deepen their thoughts on cultural heritage.
