Course Description

This course is aimed at understanding the scientific research method and its variety on the field of cultural properties through the introduction of past studies. For the fabrication of arts and crafts, obtaining raw materials and tools, the establishment of processing technology and channels of distribution are required. Therefore historical, cultural, ethnological and technical background could be revealed by scientific research on arts and crafts. Although lectures include much scientific content, these are important opportunities to deepen understanding contact between historical and scientific research.
