In the Japanese archipelago, oriental zodiac animals have been used for time and direction recognition for more than a thousand years. The traditional space-time system has evolved not as the repetition or multiplication of numbers, but as subtly changing relationships among celestial bodies such as the earth, sun, and moon, creatures, and people. By studying with the zodiac animals as guides cultural tradition in Japan, changes by modernization, and Japanese myths, we will deeply learn the problems hidden in traditional Japan, modern Japan, and modern civilization.
