Course Description

This course examines Japan political history since the Meiji Restoration. Students will learn why Japan went to war with the United States. Topics also include current history issue, such as the issue of Comfort Women, reconciliation between Japan and China. Students are also expected to pay attention to the daily news reports in the newspapers and TV news.
