Course Description

The purpose of this course is to learn the uniqueness of the Japanese post war political system ,under which the Liberal Democratic Party has been in power since 1955 except only two brief interruptions. Topics also include Japanese foreign policy, history of international relations, and danger of nuclear weapons. Students are expected to pay attention to the daily news reports in the newspapers and TV news.
