Course Description

This course introduces students to a wide variety of topics related to contemporary German culture and society. The focus will be on current issues such as lifestyle, politics, economy, social welfare, pop culture, education, immigration and integration, nuclear phaseout and so on. Through the course content, students will acquire an increased understanding of culture and society in German-speaking areas and increased awareness of issues which affect modern Germany.
