Course Description

This course is an introduction to Management & Business Administration. Basic management theories, principles, and frameworks are to be lectured with practical examples and interesting topics. This course is designed for students to widely understand background of management issues that modern firms are faced with and to have confident opinions about how to address the undergoing management issues.
In the fall semester, firstly we will learn competitive strategy and business model theories. Secondly we will explore fundamental theories of organization structure, motivation, leadership and human resource management. Finally, we will dramatically tackle management issues that most Japanese companies are faced with and explore how firms create innovative values by the diversified human resources.
