Course Description

This course deals with several key development finance issues. In the autumn semester, the course will look into two themes, i.e., "importance of financial stability for developing countries", and "sources of external financial flows for developing countries". Through the course, participating students are expected to become familiar with the financial challenges that developing countries need to address to sustain their economic development. The course will also pick up current economic and financial topics in developing and emerging economies from leading newspapers and journals which will merit discussion in classes.
