Course Description

The aim of this lecture is to understand the research methods and latest trend in zooarchaeology, and to reconsider the history of human – animal/environment relationship. Livestock will be the theme of the first semester. Livestock had a great influence on history by providing food, materials, power, etc., dramatically increasing productivity and accelerating social change. It also caused various infectious diseases and became a major factor influencing the subsequent history.
