Course Description

In this class, you will learn the study of traditions and the study of folkloric performing arts research methods.Students choose one specific folk performing art and get to know the folk performing art deeply throughout the year.In principle, the target folkloric performing arts are those that are currently carry on.In autumn class, you will learn a series of steps (1) to (3) below, and learn how to engage in voluntary research and how to utilize discussions.
(1) Set the problems of the selected folkloric performing arts.
(2) Students compile materials based on field surveys and literature surveys. Then, you will announce the contents of the consideration.
(3) Discussions will be held based on the current situation of the selected folk performing arts. And consider the current challenges.
