Course Description

This course is designed for students to learn labor issues and labor policies of Japan.
The topics are as follows: Japanese employment system, basic characteristics of labor law, the system of regulating the terms and conditions of employment(Labor Standards Act, Labor Contracts Act, labor contracts, rules of employment, collective agreement, etc.), promotion of women's active participation in the workplace, and good balance between work and life.
