Course Description

Central Asia is located in the middle of the Eurasian continent, which connects the East and the West. The Silk Road, which runs through the Eurasian continent and Central Asia, has played a major role in the history of cultural and human exchange, as it has carried not only goods but also religions from East to West and brought many people back and forth. In this class, we will focus on Central Asia and the Silk Road, taking the Ak-Beshim site in the Kyrgyz Republic as a specific example, and learn about the history and culture of that period.
