Course Description

The course also explores the evolutionary changes in American economic life, focusing on the pecuniary culture of the consumer society and the alleged impact of the machine processes on habits of thought. At that time, I would like to introduce to students the history of economic life that Thorstein Veblen discussed. At the end of the course, you will be able to acquire knowledge about modern economic life. And students will be able to draw some ideals about the current economic society in which you will play an active role.
