Course Description

The Latin American region has been gaining notoriety in recent decades, both for its economy and for its cultural contribution. The most popular tourist destinations include many Latin American regions.
That is why in this first semester we are going to make an imaginary trip to have an overview of the countries that make up so-called Latin America.
We will therefore see the difference between Latin America and Hispano-America, we will travel the Caribbean in search of stories like those of "Pirates in the Caribbean", like the first colonizers, we will search for treasures, we will find "El Dorado" or we will discover the origins of the Amazon River.
At the same time, on this imaginary journey, we will visit the coldest regions of Latin America, such as the Andes Mountains, we will visit the Salar de Uyuni or we will walk through the driest desert on the planet, the Atacama Desert, but we will also know the region called "The lung of the world", the Amazon.
