Course Description

In this class, we will take an overview of "pedagogy" and study the contemporary issues surrounding education in Japan.
Students will also focus on school education in Japan and other countries, and learn about pedagogy from historical and international perspectives.
Students will learn about contemporary educational issues in Japan through independent study, discussion, and group work.
In the latter half of the class, each student will research and make a presentation about an educational issue.
