Course Description

The rich and varied expressions of characters in everyday life, such as how to make the Japanese language "attractive," logos in advertisements and designs, and fonts (typefaces) in manga, have their basis in the history of calligraphy, and one of the oldest styles is "kana-shodou.
In this class, while learning the basics of Kana Shodo, we will consider the expression of characters in Japanese culture.
