Course Description

Cultural anthropology is a discipline that discusses possibility and inevitability of cultural construction, and thus provides a useful perspective for understanding the diverse and complex problems of encounters with people of different cultural backgrounds. In this lecture, we will study the basic theory of cultural anthropology to properly understand the tourism as a cultural phenomenon, and look into various effects of tourism from the perspective of cultural anthropology.
